Minecraft is nearing updates that could drastically alter your gameplay when you want to play with the game's mechanics... or simply take a trip into an immersive virtual world. The update on October 18th for Minecraft's Windows 10 Pocket and Gear VR editions will include Add-Ons. These allow players to modify text files to alter the behavior of characters and objects. Want giant chickens, or Creepers that trigger huge explosions? It's not difficult to create. It's an excellent way to start exploring the world of mods without having to learn programming. VR users, meanwhile they will receive more advanced controller support. gaming can use the Bluetooth-equipped Xbox One gamepad (like the one included with the Xbox One S) in the Windows 10 or Gear VR versions of the game and PC gamers who have an Oculus Rift can use Oculus Touch hand controllers. If Minecraft in VR is still a standard PC or mobile game for the moment however, it should become a more distinctive experience following the update. The new software introduces boss battles for Windows 10, Pocket, and Gear VR versions. Console players won't need to wait until 18th April to get something new, however. Microsoft and Mojang are coming out with a Chinese Mythology Mash-Up that, as the name suggests, introduces a world and characters that are influenced by the Chinese culture. Banners and other biomes that are logical will be featured including polar bears as well as igloos in arctic environments. Xbox and Wii U gamers get this update on October 4th, while the PlayStation crowd will receive it on the 5th.
