The way you describe how to install java mods is not correct. The reason is that if you put the java file in the mod folder, it will work in a basic mode until another mod is installed in another section of the ".minecraft." folder. games What I mean by this is: 1. Cut or copy the jar file but don't paste it yet 2. Open the versions folder, and create another folder. Copy the jar file to the folder you just created 4. Copy the jar file to the folder once more and paste it again with another name 5. Open the jar file with notepad, copy all of the text and exit the file. The copied file should be deleted 7. Create another file (mostly a txt) and name it exactly as the Jar file 8. Once you have it exactly written as the jar file and saved with that name as an .json file 9. Open the json file using Notpad and copy the next one 10. Launch the launcher and choose the mod you "made 10,5. If this didn't work, do these steps 11. Open the versions folder. Select the folder you don't require. If the mod is 1.7.10 you'll need to find a folder that runs 1.7.10 minecraft version 12. Copy the jar file into the folder you have selected. Rename it precisely to match the json file. Start the launcher and select the version. minecraft servers If you are unable to locate the folder, you can go back to the folder for versions and look for the folder you last edited. Then, you can rename it to your liking. I recommend that you rename all files within that folder to exactly the same name as the folder.
